Little Hikers: Spring Into Storytime

Little Hikers: Spring Into Storytime

Little hikers explore spring trails paired with outdoor storytelling.

Join us for an outdoor storytelling adventure designed with young explorers in mind. Your family will hike the scenic 1.1-mile Redwing Trail, stopping at intervals to enjoy a story and seasonal games that celebrate spring. This isn't a typical library visit—the natural setting makes the experience special and engaging for little ones who love being outdoors. If you have younger children who aren't ready for the full hike, consider bringing a jogging stroller or carrier so everyone can participate comfortably. This program works well for preschool-aged children and their families. The combination of gentle hiking, storytelling, and interactive play keeps the experience manageable for small legs while creating lasting memories in nature. For questions before you go, reach out to the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065. They're available Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
