Meet Me In The Garden: Eco-Friendly Lawns

Interested in transforming your yard into a low-maintenance, water-wise space that benefits local wildlife? This session features Mindy Bartholomae, an Ohio Master Gardener and homeowner recognized by Summit Metro Parks' Wild Back Yards program. She'll share practical strategies for establishing a no-mow lawn while reducing water usage and minimizing upkeep—all while building healthier soil and supporting the creatures in your neighborhood. Mindy will cover techniques suited to both sunny and shady areas, offering real-world insights from her own experience. This is an adult-focused event held at the Nature Realm, and the program runs 90 minutes. For questions about the program, you can reach the Nature Realm Visitors Center at 330-865-8065 (open Wednesday–Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 12–5 p.m.).
