Nailed It! Camp for ALL (2 sessions)
Hands-on woodworking & crafting camp for ages 8–18, inclusive & autism-friendly.
This hands-on woodworking program welcomes young people ages 8–18 to create seasonal wood projects in a supportive, inclusive setting. Run by the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, Inspired Lumber Workshop, and the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, each session guides participants through sanding, assembling, painting, and finishing their own projects. Campers work with pre-cut materials and step-by-step instruction, so no prior experience is needed. The program is designed to be fully accessible for all abilities, helping young people build practical skills while gaining confidence and independence.
Two time slots let you choose what works best: the noon–2pm session is geared toward ages 8–13, while the 3–5pm session serves ages 14–18. Each participant takes home a completed project they've made themselves. Sessions run throughout the year, and registration is just $5 per session. This is a great opportunity for kids and teens to try woodworking in a judgment-free environment where everyone succeeds.
