Nature at Night: All About Owls (Ages 8 and up)

Your family is invited to discover the world of owls during an evening program at Oak Openings Preserve. This naturalist-led event is designed for children eight and older, offering an hour-long exploration into the lives and behaviors of these fascinating nighttime hunters. You'll spend time in the woods after dark, which makes for an exciting and immersive learning experience that you won't get during a typical daytime visit. The program runs from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m., and you'll meet at the Mallard Lake parking lot in the Window on Wildlife area. A small fee of $5 per person applies, and reservations are required to attend. This is a great way to get kids engaged with nature in a hands-on setting while building their confidence exploring the outdoors after sunset.
