Nature Journaling: Capturing Autumn
Sketch and observe autumn nature at the Great Lakes museum workshop.
Your family is invited to explore the natural world along the Maumee River through this two-hour guided workshop. Participants will learn straightforward journaling techniques to document autumn's beauty—from brilliant fall colors and changing light to the unique trees along the shoreline. The approach combines sketches, written observations, and reflective prompts to help everyone slow down and notice the details of nature around them.
No drawing skills or prior experience needed—this workshop welcomes beginners of all ages. The museum provides everything: a journal, watercolor paints, and guided prompts to spark discovery and reflection. Admission is $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members. Registration is coming soon, so check back for signup details. This is a wonderful way to connect with nature while creating a keepsake of the season.
