Celebrate fandoms and geek culture with other nerdy kids at the library.
Nerd Alliance brings together kids who love their favorite books, shows, games, and fandoms for a welcoming hangout at the library. Whether your child is passionate about a specific interest or just enjoys geeky culture, this is a chance to connect with peers who share similar enthusiasms and discover new things to get excited about.
The program runs from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and includes crafts and games, giving teens and tweens ages 11–17 plenty to do while chatting with friends. The group meets regularly throughout the year at the Statesville Library's Youth Services Program Room. Registration opens in late November, so you can sign your child up for the January session or any of the other dates offered.
