November Digital Literacy Class
November Digital Literacy Class Session 1 of 4 at 137 W. Margaret Lane
This four-week series introduces adults to essential computer and internet skills in a supportive setting. You'll explore practical topics like setting up email, staying safe online, recognizing scams, managing your digital identity, and using the internet to access banking and medical information. The curriculum also covers social media basics and how to build healthy digital relationships. Best of all, laptops are provided during class—you won't need to bring your own device.
Here's the real incentive: attend all four Monday sessions and you'll receive a laptop computer to take home, thanks to grant funding. The class is limited to 10 students, so spots fill quickly. If you need a ride, Orange County Public Transportation offers free Demand Response service with at least 48 hours' notice. Keep in mind that perfect attendance is required to earn the computer, so reach out to instructor Andrew if you anticipate missing any sessions.
