Open Mic at Community Forge

Community Forge hosts a monthly open mic night where performers of all skill levels can take the stage. Whether you're interested in live music, singing, comedy, spoken word, or another art form entirely, there's a place for you here. A live backing band led by bandleader Howie Alexander is on hand to support performers, so you can either work with the band directly or bring a reference track on your phone to help guide them through your piece. Sign-ups happen first-come, first-served at the door, making it easy to jump in on the night. This November's event features vocalist Anita Levels as the highlighted performer. Anita brings decades of experience, having sung professionally since childhood and performed with major Pittsburgh jazz ensembles. The evening is free to attend, whether you're coming to perform or simply to enjoy the show. It's a welcoming space designed to celebrate creative expression across many genres and art forms.
