Orienteering Treasure Hunt

Get ready for 90 minutes of outdoor adventure! This treasure hunt challenges participants to navigate through Allardale Park using a map and compass. You'll choose your own route while competing individually or as a team to rack up the most points. Whether you prefer to walk, hike, or run, this activity welcomes all skill levels—no prior orienteering experience needed. The team or individual with the highest score wins bragging rights for the day. Once the scramble wraps up, everyone's invited to stick around for a fall social and party at the lodge. The Northeastern Ohio Orienteering Club is running the show. Pre-registration costs $15 per map and is encouraged through their website; maps purchased the day of the event are $20. A limited number of walk-up maps will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. This program suits families, teens, and adults of all ages and is a great way to build navigation skills while enjoying some friendly competition in the park.
