Resilience Rocks the Block
Free, family-friendly block party celebrating community resilience on Halloween.
Join the Neighborhood Resilience Project for their first-ever Resilience Rocks the Block, a free community celebration happening on Halloween. This family-friendly block party takes over a stretch of Bedford Avenue in Pittsburgh's Hill District and combines seasonal fun with meaningful community connection. You'll find live music on a main stage, a costume parade with a red carpet walk, and a costume contest to get everyone excited about their outfits.
There's plenty to keep kids entertained throughout the day, including a dedicated activity zone with pony rides and a hay treasure hunt. Families can also enjoy trunk-or-treat, browse food vendors, and check out sponsor booths. The event serves as an annual fundraiser for the Neighborhood Resilience Project, a local nonprofit focused on trauma-informed community development. While admission is free for everyone, sponsorship opportunities and VIP tickets are available if you'd like to support the organization while you celebrate.
