Ritter Planetarium: "Chasing the Ghost Particle"

Journey to the frozen depths of Antarctica without leaving Toledo. The University of Toledo's Ritter Planetarium takes you on an adventure exploring neutrinos—nearly invisible particles that travel across the cosmos carrying secrets about the universe's most dramatic events. Using cutting-edge projection technology and surround sound, you'll learn how scientists use these "ghost particles" to study everything from exploding stars to black holes. This program runs Friday evenings throughout September and is best suited for teens and adults with an interest in astronomy and physics. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children, seniors, and University of Toledo community members. Seating is first-come, first-served with no advance tickets available—arrive early for best spots. Programs begin promptly at the scheduled time, so plan to be there a few minutes early. Free parking is available, but you'll need to register your vehicle's license plate either online beforehand or at the planetarium lobby. Note that food and drinks aren't permitted inside the dome.
