Ritter Planetarium: “Einstein's Gravity Playlist”

Explore gravitational waves and space-time at University of Toledo's planetarium show.

Curious about the invisible forces shaping our universe? Head to the Ritter Planetarium for "Einstein's Gravity Playlist," an engaging show that demystifies gravitational waves—the ripples in space-time that Albert Einstein predicted over a century ago. Led by Lucia, a physics PhD student, this program walks families through how these waves form, travel through space, and how scientists detect them using sophisticated laser equipment on Earth. It's a wonderful opportunity for older kids and adults to grasp one of modern physics' most exciting discoveries. The planetarium features state-of-the-art projection and surround sound that truly brings the cosmos to life. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. Seating is first-come, first-served with no advance ticket purchases, so arriving early is a good idea. Free parking is available in lot 1N (just register your license plate beforehand or in the lobby). Note that shows start right on time, so plan to arrive with a few minutes to spare. Food and drinks aren't permitted inside the dome, but it's a memorable experience for anyone fascinated by space and science.
