Ritter Planetarium: "Stars of the Pharaohs"

Planetarium show exploring ancient Egyptian astronomy at UT.

Dive into ancient Egypt at the Ritter Planetarium's "Stars of the Pharaohs" show, where you'll discover how the civilizations of old used the night sky for practical purposes—from timekeeping to building alignment. The full-dome presentation takes you on a virtual journey through some of Egypt's most magnificent temples and tombs while exploring the deep connection ancient people felt to the cosmos and its movements. Your evening includes a guided tour of Toledo's current night sky, a Q&A session with an astronomy expert, and a chance to observe through powerful telescopes at the adjacent observatory (weather permitting). Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children, seniors, and university members; children 3 and under are free. Arrive early to explore lobby displays—doors open 30 minutes before the show. No reservations needed; all shows are first-come, first-served.
