River Stomp (Families, Ages 4+)

Join us for a splashing adventure along the Maumee River! When water levels drop in late summer, the river reveals rocky terrain and shallow pools that are perfect for exploration. Your family will have the chance to wade through these shallow areas, turn over rocks, and see what small creatures live in and around the water. This activity works well for kids ages four and up who enjoy getting wet and don't mind a bit of mess. You'll spend time discovering the river's ecosystem up close—spotting fish, insects, and other wildlife that call the Maumee home. It's a hands-on way to connect with nature and learn about local aquatic life. Bring water shoes or old sneakers, a change of clothes, and a willingness to explore!
