Solar Oven S'mores

Kids will get hands-on experience with renewable energy at this fun afternoon activity. Participants build their own solar ovens from scratch, then put them to work by harnessing the sun's heat to toast marshmallows. Once the marshmallows are perfectly golden, kids can assemble their own s'mores and enjoy the treat they've helped create. It's a great way to explore science concepts through a tasty, interactive project. This program is designed for children ages 6 to 10 and takes place in Meeting Room C at the library. The session runs for one hour, and space is limited to 20 participants, so spots may fill up. This is an ideal activity for kids curious about how solar energy works or anyone looking for a creative summer outing that combines learning with a delicious reward.
