Solar Oven S'mores
Build and cook with solar ovens at Sanger Library.
Kids ages 6–10 are invited to get hands-on with solar power at this summer activity. You'll build your own solar oven from scratch, then put it to work by harnessing the sun's heat to toast marshmallows and create delicious s'mores. It's a fun way to learn about renewable energy while enjoying a tasty treat at the end.
This hour-long program combines science exploration with an outdoor snack activity, perfect for curious kids who enjoy building things and experimenting. The event takes place partly indoors and partly outdoors at the library's meeting space, with plenty of room for the group. Bring a child ready to learn and get a little messy—s'mores ingredients are part of the experience.
