Spooky DARK Tree Climbing (Adults and 8+)

This Halloween-themed climbing adventure takes place after dark at Wildwood Preserve Metropark. You and your group will use a harness and rope system to ascend into the treetops, with all necessary equipment—including lights—provided. The experience runs for an hour and a half, giving you plenty of time to navigate the canopy in a safe, supported way. It's designed to be beginner-friendly, so you don't need climbing experience to participate. The cost is $48 per person. Children ages 8 and up can join, but minors must have an adult with them throughout the activity. When you register, wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather, and bring a filled reusable water bottle. If you or anyone in your group needs accessibility accommodations, Metroparks staff can adapt the program—just mention your needs during registration, ideally at least 72 business hours ahead of time. Meet at the Ward Pavilion map kiosk to get started.
