Spooky Sunset Tree Climbing (Adults and 8+)

Get into the Halloween spirit with an evening of tree climbing at Wildwood Preserve. Participants will be safely harnessed and guided up into the treetops using a rope system—all equipment is provided. This beginner-friendly activity welcomes adults and children ages 8 and up, making it a great way for families to try something adventurous together. The experience runs for about an hour and a half as the sun sets, creating a naturally spooky atmosphere. The cost is $48 per person, and you'll need to register in advance. When you arrive, meet the staff at the Ward Pavilion map kiosk. Come prepared: bring a filled water bottle, wear closed-toe shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather. Children must have an adult with them throughout the program. If you need accessibility accommodations or adaptive equipment, let Metroparks staff know at registration (or at least 72 business hours before the event). For questions, call 419-407-9700 or use the contact form on the Metroparks website.
