STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe

This planetarium show takes you on a journey through space to explore stars in all their forms—from faint, distant ones to brilliant giants that end in spectacular explosions. You'll learn how stars are born within clouds of gas and dust and how they generate the energy that powers everything in our universe. The 30-minute program features narration by Mark Hamill and stunning animation created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, plus an original soundtrack performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. The show works well for elementary-aged children and older family members who are curious about astronomy and space. Captions are available upon request—just let a staff member know when you arrive at the planetarium. This is a production of the Sudekum Planetarium at Adventure Science Center, and tickets can be purchased on their website. For specific accessibility information beyond captioning, check the Adventure Science Center's accessibility page.
