STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe

This planetarium program takes viewers on a cosmic journey exploring stars throughout their entire lifecycles—from their creation in clouds of gas and dust to their brilliant deaths in powerful explosions. You'll discover how stars generate the energy that fuels our universe while experiencing both their stunning beauty and tremendous destructive force. The 30-minute show features narration by Mark Hamill and striking animations created by the National Space Centre in Leicester, UK, with an original soundtrack performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. This is a great experience for elementary-aged children and families curious about space and astronomy. The show is presented at the Sudekum Planetarium, housed within the Adventure Science Center. Captions are available for the program—just ask a staff member when you arrive at the planetarium. For complete details about accessibility accommodations, visit the Adventure Science Center website.
