STEAM: Catapults
Elementary kids explore catapult physics, build and test their own launcher, and take home science books.
Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to join an adult for an exciting hands-on exploration of catapult engineering. During this one-hour session, young learners will discover the scientific principles that make catapults work, then get to build and test their very own catapult creation. It's a perfect blend of learning and play for kids curious about how things move and work.
The program takes place at the Twin Hickory Area Library's Children's Program Room. Informational books about catapults and related topics will be available for checkout, so families can continue exploring the subject at home. For questions or more details, reach out to TwinHickoryEvents@henricolibrary.org or call (804) 501-1920, ext. 4.
