Story Time with Timber (Ages 3-5)

Join Timber, a friendly wellness dog from Metropark Toledo, for an afternoon of stories and nature exploration designed just for young learners. Your child will listen to a book read aloud, work on a simple craft project to take home, and enjoy a gentle walk along the preserve's trails. It's a wonderful way to combine early literacy practice with outdoor time and animal interaction. This program supports preschoolers' development through hands-on nature activities and exposure to reading in a relaxed, engaging setting. The combination of story time, creative play, and trail time makes it perfect for three- to five-year-olds who enjoy animals and the outdoors. Held at the Yager Center at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark, the activity gives families a chance to explore the natural surroundings while building foundational skills in a fun, low-pressure environment.
