Storytime for TEENS

This storytime program flips the script by bringing literary activities to teenagers. Participants will explore picture books with meaningful themes that speak to teen experiences, then dig into discussions about real-life skills and even analyze music lyrics together. It's a chance for older kids to engage with stories in a more thoughtful way, moving beyond the traditional picture-book audience. The program also includes hands-on creative time and snacks, making it a well-rounded hour that blends reading, conversation, and making something. The event is designed specifically for teens ages 11–17 and takes place in a dedicated meeting space at the library. It's a low-pressure way for teenagers to enjoy books and connect with peers who share similar interests.
