Teen Hangout

Teen Hangout is a supervised after-school program designed for middle and high school students in grades 6–12. Held at the Mechanicsville location, this drop-in gathering gives teens a chance to relax and connect with peers while enjoying games and activities led by library staff. No sign-up is necessary—students can simply show up whenever they're able during the 90-minute session. This is a great option for teens looking for a safe, welcoming space after their school day ends. If your teen has specific accessibility needs or questions about the program, the Mechanicsville Branch Library team is happy to help. You can reach them by phone or email to discuss any accommodations or get more details about what's planned.
