Teen Hangout

Looking for a way for your teen to unwind after school? Teen Hangout welcomes students in grades 6–12 to gather at the Mechanicsville Meeting Room A for a supervised afternoon of activities and games. The program runs from 4:00 to 5:30 pm and requires no advance sign-up—your teen can simply drop in whenever they're available. It's a casual, staff-supervised space designed to give young people a chance to relax and have fun with peers. This is a great fit for middle and high schoolers who want a low-pressure social outlet. The library provides activities and games to keep things engaging, so your teen won't need to bring anything special. If your family has questions about the program or if your teen has specific physical or communication needs, the library is happy to help—just reach out to ask@pamunkeylibrary.org or call the Mechanicsville Branch at 804-746-9615.
