Teen Time
Teens learn Native American beading and create perler bead art at the Main library.
Teen Time: Modern Beadwork with Perler Beads gives young people a chance to learn about Native American beading traditions and create their own colorful perler bead artwork. This hands-on session is designed specifically for teens and runs for one hour at the Main Library location in Oakland.
This program is part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month celebration for November. It's a great way for teens to explore a traditional art form while making something they can take home. For questions or to register, you can reach Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh directly.
