Teen Time: Modern Beadwork with Perler Beads

Teen Time: Modern Beadwork with Perler Beads

Teens explore Native American beading styles and create perler-bead art.

Your teen is invited to explore the art of Native American beading traditions during this one-hour workshop at the Hazelwood library location. Participants will learn about different beading styles and create their own decorative piece using perler beads—a fun, hands-on introduction to this cultural art form. This program is part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month celebration in November. The session runs from 5 to 6 p.m. and is geared toward teens. It's a great option if your teen enjoys crafts, wants to learn about Native American cultural traditions, or is looking for an afternoon activity at the library.
