Teen Time: Monongahela-Inspired Trinket Dishes

Teens learn Native American pottery traditions and create Monongahela-inspired dishes.

Your teen will explore the rich history of the indigenous peoples who lived in the Pittsburgh region and learn about traditional Monongahela pottery styles. During this hands-on session, they'll create their own decorative trinket dishes using air-dry clay, combining cultural learning with a creative craft project. This program runs for one hour and is designed specifically for teens. It's part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month celebration in 2026.
