Telecommunication Options for People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Telecommunication Options for People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing at Ashland Meeting Room B (Projector Side)

This informational session introduces adults to Virginia Relay, a free public service designed to help people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, or who have difficulty speaking connect with standard telephone users. A Virginia Relay representative will walk through the latest communication technology options available, including resources specifically for veterans. This is a great opportunity to learn about tools that can expand independence and connection. You're welcome to bring any questions you have—the goal is to leave with practical answers and a better understanding of what's available. If you have specific accessibility needs or communication requirements, the Ashland Branch staff is happy to help arrange accommodations. Just reach out to ask@pamunkeylibrary.org or call (804)798-4072 ahead of time.
