This micro-exhibit tells the remarkable story of September 11, 2001, when nearly half a million people escaped Lower Manhattan by water in less than nine hours using hundreds of vessels. Families will discover the heroic role the Great Lakes maritime community played in American history. The exhibit runs September 1–October 31, 2026.
