Time for Tots

Time for Tots brings together caregivers and young children for a purposeful, play-based morning at Zion Lutheran Church. The program weaves Bible stories and faith lessons into a welcoming routine that works for the littlest learners. Designed for children ages 5 and under (with older siblings welcome), each session flows naturally from free play and adult connection time, to structured circle time with songs and stories, a themed snack, creative art projects, and active outdoor or gym play. Parents and caregivers get their own benefit too—the opening free-play period offers time to connect with other adults navigating early childhood while children explore alongside peers. The full session runs from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings. Zion asks for a $30 donation per family per semester to help cover materials and supplies. The program runs from September through April, and new families can join at any time during the year—there's no need to wait for a specific start date. Children head home with their art project and a copy of the day's Bible story to reflect on together, making each visit a springboard for family conversation and connection.
