Toledo Cookies and Canvas - Shelly's Island Adventure

Kids will spend an hour painting a sea turtle character on their own 8x10 canvas during this guided art session. The canvas arrives pre-outlined, so children can focus on having fun rather than worrying about getting proportions right. A local artist instructor walks through each painting step, teaching basic techniques like color blending and brush control as kids bring Shelly the turtle and her beach scene to life. Every child takes home their finished painting plus a cookie to enjoy during the event. This activity works well for young artists of any skill level—no prior painting experience needed. All supplies are provided, including paints, brushes, and an apron, so just show up ready to create. Check-in happens 15 minutes early, and the session runs one hour. Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of West Sylvania and Grantley Road, with street parking as a backup. Spots fill up quickly, so reserve early. Parents or guardians must attend with children. Outside snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome to bring along.
