Try it! Canoeing (Families 4+, Dog Friendly)

This is a great introduction to paddling for families new to canoeing. You'll spend an hour on Silver Lake learning the basic paddle strokes you need to get comfortable on the water, then enjoy a relaxing paddle around the lake. It's a perfect way to experience what canoeing is all about without a big commitment. Kids as young as 4 can join, and you're welcome to bring your dog along too. A reservation is required to participate, and there's a $6 fee per person. You can book your spot through the Metroparks Toledo registration system. Meet at the Silver Lake parking lot at Side Cut Metropark, and plan for the full hour from start to finish.
