UWM Steel PANthers Steel Band & Community World Music Ensemble

The UWM Steel PANthers Steel Band performs Caribbean-style percussion music played on steel drums, alongside the university's Community World Music Ensemble. Steel band music is vibrant, rhythmic, and rooted in Trinidad and Tobago traditions—it's colorful and energetic without being overwhelming. Families can expect an upbeat, accessible concert celebrating world music traditions. This is a great introduction to different musical cultures for kids who enjoy rhythm and percussion, and adults will appreciate the musicianship and cultural richness.
