Waukesha County Parks Presents Habitat Restoration Events at Various locations
Waukesha County Parks is hosting a series of volunteer days focused on habitat restoration throughout the year. These outdoor work sessions invite families and community members to help remove invasive plants and restore native oak habitats across the county. No experience is necessary—just bring a willingness to get your hands dirty and make a real difference in local ecosystems. Participants should dress appropriately for outdoor work and weather conditions. These events are completely free to attend.
The program is designed for ages 13 and up, making it a great opportunity for older kids and teens to contribute to environmental conservation. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to noon at various county parks, with multiple dates available throughout the year so you can choose what works best for your family's schedule.
