Wee Wonders at Retzer Nature Center

Wee Wonders offers little explorers ages 2–4 a chance to connect with nature through hands-on activities and outdoor discovery. This monthly program encourages curiosity and learning in a fun, engaging way. December's session focuses on winter birds—children will learn how these hardy creatures survive the cold and how families can help support them. Sessions run for one hour, and each child needs an adult companion (adults attend free). The program includes outdoor time, so plan to dress appropriately for the weather; if conditions are poor, activities move indoors. Sessions cost $6 per child and are held on the second Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each month. Online registration is required and must be completed by noon the day before your visit. Walk-ins are also accommodated when space is available—just call ahead and plan to arrive 15 minutes early. For more information or questions, contact Retzer Nature Center directly.
