Welcome Toledo-Lucas County Assistance Sessions

If you're new to the Toledo area—especially if you've recently immigrated or come as a refugee—the library offers one-on-one support to help you get settled. A Welcome TLC Specialist will meet with you individually to connect you with local resources and information tailored to your family's needs. Whether you're looking to improve your English skills, understand immigration and citizenship processes, locate healthcare providers, or access other community services, this session is designed to point you in the right direction. This is a free, welcoming service held at Sanger Library and open to people of all ages. The library itself is handicapped accessible and offers free WiFi and computers if you need them while you're there. It's a good first step if you want to learn about what's available in Lucas County to support your transition.
