Why Trees Matter: Papermaking with KTLCB

Your child will explore why trees matter to our environment while getting hands-on with a fun recycling project. Working with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, kids will simulate how a recycling facility operates by transforming old paper into fresh pulp and then into brand-new paper. It's a great way to learn about environmental responsibility through direct experience rather than just listening to a lesson. This program is designed for elementary-aged children and runs for about 45 minutes. The activity takes place in the library's large meeting room, which is handicapped accessible. It's a perfect fit if your child enjoys science activities and learning about nature.
