Why Trees Matter: Papermaking with KTLCB

Join Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful for a hands-on exploration of why trees matter to our world. During this 45-minute session, kids will learn about environmental conservation while participating in a fun recycling simulation. You and your child will work together to transform old paper into paper pulp and then create brand-new paper from scratch—a practical demonstration of how recycling keeps resources in circulation and reduces waste. This program is designed for children ages 6 to 10 and takes place in the library's meeting room, which accommodates up to 50 participants. It's a great introduction to environmental science and sustainability for young learners who enjoy hands-on activities. If you have accessibility needs, the meeting room is handicapped accessible.
