Wild Lights

Walk through the Milwaukee County Zoo transformed with glowing lights and nighttime magic (Nov–Dec).

Wild Lights transforms the Milwaukee Zoo into a glowing winter wonderland on select nights through the end of the year. Stroll through holiday-themed light displays designed around the Zoo's animals, or hop aboard the North Shore Bank Safari Train for a guided ride through the illuminated grounds. Weather permitting, families can also enjoy a spin on the Penzeys Carousel. It's a magical way to experience the Zoo after dark during the holiday season. The event offers a few special variations to suit different preferences. If you'd rather stay warm, drive-thru nights let you experience the lights from your vehicle (admission charged per car, not per person). There's also an adults-only evening on December 10 featuring cocktails and entertainment, and a dog-friendly night on December 16 where you can bring your pet along. Tickets are available online with discounts for Zoo Pass and Platypus Circle members. Prices vary by date, so check the Zoo's ticketing site for specific costs and to reserve your spot in advance.
