Wildlife Care Apprentices (Ages 10-15)

Is your child passionate about animals? This half-day apprenticeship gives kids ages 10-15 a chance to work alongside Blandford's wildlife team. Participants will meet the center's animal ambassadors up close, help care for them by preparing food and enrichment activities, and then explore the grounds to search for wildlife in their natural habitats. It's a hands-on afternoon led by the Wildlife Programs Specialist and supported by volunteers and the Wildlife Manager. Everyone heads home with a commemorative Blandford vinyl sticker and plenty of memories. This is a drop-off program, so you'll need to provide allergy and emergency information during registration. Costs are $75 for non-members or $60 for members. The program runs both indoors and outdoors, so dress your child for the weather. Pre-registration is required, and online sign-ups close at noon the day before. If spots fill up, you can join the waitlist and we'll contact you if space opens. In case of severe weather, the program may be cancelled and you'll be notified about refund options. For questions, reach out to registrar@blandfordnaturecenter.org.
