Winter Warmup Kickoff

Heat Haven is hosting a celebration to mark the official start of sauna season at Hoyt Park. This free, family-friendly afternoon features live music, complimentary s'mores, and open sauna access for all guests. The centerpiece of the event is Heat Haven's ceremonial "first löyly," where water is poured over heated sauna stones to create steam, followed by a chilling plunge in the Chillotine for those brave enough to try it. If your family enjoys both cozy fire time and adventurous activities, there's something for everyone here. Kids can work on their marshmallow-roasting skills by the fire while older family members experience the sauna. Just note that sauna use is reserved for ages 12 and up, with younger participants needing a parent or guardian present. If you plan to use the sauna, bring a swimsuit, towel, and warm clothes to change into afterward. It's a great way to welcome the season and connect with neighbors in your community.
